| 26 | International Women’s Day Celebration, 2021 | 2021-03-08 | On the occasion of International Women Day on 8th March, 2021, the Women Cell organized a lecture programme on the theme ‘Choose to Challenge’. The programme began with the inauguration of wall magazine named ‘Srotoshrini’ by principal of Dr. B.K.B. College, Dr. Nripen Chandra Das. This event was followed by inauguration of pad machine (Vending Machine) and incinerator machine in Girls Common Room by invited Chief Guest, Mrs. Parul Gayan, Principal, Chapanala Higher Secondary School. The invited chief guest along with principal and teaching, non-teaching staffs of the college with the help of the college students carried out a plantation drive in the girl’s hostel campus and Moqtab School located near the college. | 22 | International Women’s Day Celebration, 2017 | 2017-03-08 | On the occasion of International Women Day, the women cell along with Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Field Publicity, Government of India organized a two days programme in Borchunjar village of Puranigudam on 8th and 9th March 2017. On 8th March, a felicitation programme was organized in Borchunjar Community hall, where joint secretary of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Field Publicity, Government of India and well known writer Anupama Das and local social worker Mrs. Bulu Bhumis were felicitated with a ‘Xorai’, ‘Fulam Gamosa’ and a certificate of appreciation. On the second day, i.e. on the 9th March, 2017, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Field Publicity, Government of India (Nagaon Branch), organized a women procession which was followed by setting up of health camp for the women where awareness on maternal health and new-born care was spread.
